My client the UK's leading provider of integrated professional support service solutions, require a Finance Manager to join this well-established division based in Cheltenham.
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Accountant or Finalist level Finance Manager to support the Finance Director and Financial Controller in the financial aspects of the business including preparation and review of monthly results and forecasting. To effectively manage and develop a small team whilst developing a strong relationship with non-finance management.
Overview of the role:
Managing and developing a small finance team. Whilst preparing the month end results and forecast and ensure accuracy of variance analysis. You will have a good awareness and understanding of balance sheet to ensure accuracy of P&L and maximising cash flow. My client is keen for someone to also make improvements to internal controls and processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will work closely with the business unit directors presenting the management information pack on a monthly basis ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting at a local level and to the business. You will be required to challenge and approve client driven change work orders and work closely with the business units and the Financial Controller to review monthly financial reports by profit centre group, including variance analysis, of actual vs. forecast, and revisions to future forecast within a tight reporting deadline. You will also assist with the preparation of the budget whilst working closely with senior management to ensure profit is attainable as well as assisting with bid modelling where appropriate.
Essential Experience / Skills:
- Newly qualified or finalist with prior experience gained in a similar role.
- Ideally you will have gained experience of people management.
- You will have strong system skills including advanced Microsoft Excel, and experience of SAP would be an advantage
- You should have a proven background of being able to influence non-finance managers.
