Seeking a versatile Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism and moderate learning difficulties

Your new company
Hays Education are currently working with an established setting in Sandwell that supports students with Autism and moderate learning difficulties. This Sandwell based setting is well resourced and has good facilities and pupil focussed approach to learning. They provide support to pupils across KS2 -KS5, who have a variety of Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Your new role
This job role will involve supporting a small cohort of pupils that have moderate learning difficulties and will see you acting as a scribe taking lecture notes, checking and reviewing work, supporting revision sessions, providing emotional support, building confidence and self esteem. This role is working 1:1 and supporting small groups. This is a full time learning support job that is due to start in October and is expected to a last for at least a term but is expected to continue for the rest of the academic year with the potentiality of becoming permanent

What you'll need to succeed
To be suitable for this role you should be a passionate, outcomes focused teacher, with experience of working with children or young people with SEND, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Complex Needs and/ or Autism. You will be a have a minimum of 40 days experience, in the last 2 years, of working in schools, SLD, ASD or PMLD settings, which can be referenced. Applicants with experience of working with students on P Levels, or in EYFS, will have a significant advantage. You will be passionate about working with children/ young people to achieve the best of their potential.
