Location – Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Salary - £ 35,000 - £ 45,000 + Excellent Benefits

Due to continued growth, they are seeking to attract a Front End Developer to join the Group based in Tunbridge Wells to be at the forefront of designing, developing and delivering high quality and responsive user interfaces for desktop, web and mobile platforms.

Contributes and adheres to:
  • Coding standards and source control regimes relevant to UX development.
  • Departmental standards for UX tools and frameworks.
  • Testing methodologies, frameworks and controls ensuring that code can be repeatedly and reliably tested.
Key Competencies:
  • Proficient in frameworks, languages and toolsets relevant to UI development. While core developments are Microsoft centric, the incumbent will have an aptitude for discovering and becoming proficient in UI tools for emerging platforms and those, which are new to Groups enterprise.
  • Aware of UX design best practice and can apply standard techniques to streamline the prototyping and delivery of effective and intuitive applications.
  • Be familiar with UX design patterns such as MVC and possess an awareness of cross platform system architectures.
  • Understands the implications of design choices in terms of delivery and maintenance.
  • Be familiar with software delivery tools and processes for concurrent development and be proficient in source code management practices.
  • Be familiar with delivery practices and positively contribute to implementing and improving these.

Project:
  • Experienced in a range of delivery methodologies including agile and plan driven paradigms.
  • Contributes to planning activities by providing estimates that are; pragmatic, achievable, delivery centric and measurable. Works to continually improve estimates by monitoring past performance.
  • Participates in project closing activities and business benefit realisation.

Key Skills and Knowledge:
  • Adobe suite – Advanced - 2 years +
  • Umbraco or equivalent CMS offerings – Advanced - 2 years +
  • MS. Net with MVC – Advanced - 3 years +
  • Web development tools and frameworks, e.g. jQuery, CSS, HTML 5.0 –Advanced - 3 years +
  • Team Foundation Server or equivalent – Intermediate - 1 year +
  • ORM Solutions – Advanced - 2 years +
  • Mobile development - Primarily Apple, android, windows. – Intermediate - 1 year +
