The Company

This independent financial advice group has grown significantly since its inception in 2011, through acquiring smaller IFA’s plus organic growth by developing accountancy connections and various marketing initiatives. With over 150 years’ experience combined from their Senior team, they are in a great position to continue developing the business. They have recently acquired a portfolio of clients with £45m FuM from a retiring IFA and require an Adviser to head up a team focussed on servicing these affluent clients.

Clients and business opportunities

The retiring IFA will be available for the next 6 – 12 months to ensure smooth transition of clients. As part of your role in leading the team, you will be responsible for servicing up to 50 A Grade clients as part of the acquisition. The other HNW clients will be distributed between two other Advisers to ensure all clients are met and provided with excellent service. In addition, you should look to lead the growth of new clients through marketing initiatives.

Leading the team

As the Lead Adviser, you will be responsible for growing your team of IFA’s and support staff to ensure the acquired clients continue to receive excellent service; whilst maintaining a profitable cost centre. Therefore, the managerial element of your role will include:

Build a team through recruitment and/or progressing existing individuals within the group to develop a team of circa 3 IFA’s and 3 Support staffBeing accountable for the team’s achievement of business objectives by ensuring resources are effectively utilisedMentoring your team to promote personal and career progressionMaintain client service agreements and develop further value within the client propositionAttend quarterly meeting with the Group’s Senior Management teamRequirements to be considered

The successful individual for this role should have a strong track record in financial planning and be minimum DipFA qualified or equivalent. In addition, should be able to demonstrate business acumen and initiative.
