Assistant Finance Manager
We are working with a prestigious retailer in Hull to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager in to their head office. The ideal candidate will be a finalist or newly qualified ACCA/CIMA Accountant.
Duties will include:
Supervision and management of the Finance team whilst supporting the Financial Manager ensuring accurate and timely information is produced at all times.
Perform month end reviews of data input by the Finance Assistants
Reconciliation of all Nominal accounts
Month end journals
Preparation of VAT returns
Reconcile intercompany transactions
Prepare and process monthly payroll
Approve and pay employee expenses
Review purchase ledger reconciliations prepared by the Finance Assistants
Approve supplier payments
Support Finance Assistants with all general queries/discrepancies
The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines and possess excellent attention to detail and proven analytical skills. Must be a strong team player as well as being able to meet targets as an individual. Must posses a friendly, confident and engaging personality with previous management experience. Microsoft NAV experience is desirable and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
