Based in South Devon, your school works with students requiring a higher level of care. The school specialises in students exhibiting challenging behaviour, offering support for its staff as they successfully engage and encourage students through their academics, successfully managing behaviour, creating positivity and reliance.
Your new role
You will be working with small groups and 1:1 with students who require more help and may have been diagnosed with special education needs. Your new role will open up your realm of experience, working with students who may not have yet been successful in their education, from different backgrounds and experiences.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a supportive, encouraging and patient individual with experience working with children. You will have experience working with challenging behaviour and have examples of managing such behaviour in group and 1:1 settings. Qualifications and certificates such as Team Teach and other educational courses would be beneficial, but not required. Experience with SEN students is essential.
