The Conservation Product Consultant Role:
One of their applications is the ‘Conservation Management System’ (CMSi), a comprehensive solution for the planning and management of protected areas. The position they are recruiting for will be part of a small team that manages CMSi.

This is a full time and permanent position. It is likely that the position will be based at their head office in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales, although partial remote working is supported. Occasional visits to client sites will be required.

  • Preparing exemplar management plans and training datasets
The Ideal Candidate:
To be a good CMSi consultant you need to:
  • Understand the importance of rational, evidence-based management
  • Be smart with an ambition to learn
  • Be positive and problem solving
  • Be effective - getting things done right, first time and on time
  • Be self-motivated, organised and disciplined
More specifically you must have:
At least 1 years’ experience in the management of conservation /amenity sites or have other experience related to the management of property, habitats or species.

Excellent IT skills to include at least 3 of the following:

  • Software testing
The successful candidate should also demonstrate the following:
  • A highly organised approach to work and project management
  • Confident and effective presentational and client facing skills
  • Graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • Driving licence
Remuneration:
You can expect a salary of £25,000 - £36,000 (dependent on skills and experience). They don’t expect you to work ‘whatever hours are needed’ either - they pay for overtime.
