We are recruiting for our well established client based in Ormskirk. They are a very successful Solicitors who are looking for a Conveyancing Assistant to join their family team on a negotiable salary between £17,000 and £18,000. They are based close by to transport links and there is affordable parking near by as well.

About The Role:

The role is based in their conveyancing department, assisting the team in their day to day activities. You will be responsible for:

• Providing quotes to potential clients by telephone, email and in person
• Opening and allocating new files and sending out initial letters
• Closing files once they are completed
• Data input and monitoring any IT issues
• Attending to clients, following procedure to check their ID
• Dealing with identity and money laundering documentation
• Drafting and completing SDLT forms online
• Submitting all conveyancing searches and dealing with the results once checked by the fee earners
• Attending to post completion matters online or by DX
• Dealing with general conveyancing matters and enquiries
• Administration duties including photocopying, faxing and filing
• Preparing and drafting sale contracts when requested by fee earners
• Keeping files going in the fee earner's absence

Essential Skills & Experience

To be successful for this position you will:

• Have at least 18 months experience in a previous conveyancing role
• Have great attention to detail with an emphasis on outstanding customer service
• Be comfortable to give quotes and assist the firm's clients
• Be flexible with your work load and happy to help others in their own
• Have GCSEs in Maths and English
• Preferably have knowledge of Eclipse software
