Nelson Chambers are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our client In Rainham.

This is a fantastic, all rounded opportunity whereby the successful candidate will be given lots of exposure to various aspects of Accounts.

Duties include but are not limited to:

•            Receiving, processing and filing paperwork, e.g. invoices, expenses, requests for payment.

•            Checking/verifying calculations to make sure they’re correct

•            Raise Applications for Payment / Sales Invoices Entering

•            Post purchase invoices, Match POs & reconcile supplier statements

•            Resolve purchase ledger transaction queries with suppliers

•            Check Purchase Orders against Invoices/delivery notes

•            Ensure supplier invoices are processed efficiently

•            Monitor payments received and balances due

•            Undertake daily multi-currency bank reconciliations

•            Assist in preparation of the audit file

•            Check Employee Expenses and Code for authorisation

•            Supplier Payment Runs Monthly / Weekly

•            Sub Contractor Payment Runs Weekly

•            Company Credit Card reconciliation

•            CIS monthly Return

•            Weekly Payroll with Pension Submissions

•            Quarterly VAT Return and Submissions

Person Specification:

•            Experience in a similar role

•            Exposure to CIS and ideally, from a similar industry i.e Construction

•            Self-starter

•            The ability to work unsupervised if need be

•            Strong I.T skills


Days Required: Monday-Friday

Hours: 9AM-5.30PM

Job Type: Permanent       

Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience
