Our client, a rapidly expanding, industry leading business based in East Kent are looking for their first Finance Manager. Acting as a key member of the senior management team and reporting into the CEO, this is an exciting opportunity to really make the role your own, developing processes and systems, with the overall goal of building a finance team around you as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
  • Production of variance analysis and sales analysis and forecasting
  • Management of cash flow forecasting with weekly reporting to the CEO
  • Working closely with the senior team in the production of the annual budget and forecasting
  • Managing the year end audit
  • Ad hoc reporting and provision of key business information
  • Ensuring robust processes and controls are implemented and maintained
  • Managing the AP, AR and treasury functions
  • Completing relevant VAT and tax returns

The business is looking for a formally qualified individual (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who has recent experience working in an SME environment in a varied and hands on role. Candidates must be willing to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in as although the finance team will grow, initially this will be a sole role. Other qualities include excellent communication skills and the confidence to make decisions and contribute to the senior management team meetings. Cash flow experience will be key in addition to strong Excel skills. This is an exciting opportunity to join a young company at a time of rapid growth.
