The Role:

We are looking to appoint a qualified and experienced Interim Finance Manager for one of our clients based in Nottingham. You will be hands on, covering all aspects of the finance function and reporting into the Operations Director.

This position will manage the production of monthly financial results ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements and providing insightful analysis on variances and working alongside senior management to optimise performance. You will be proactive with process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA and/or MBA qualified
  • Previous experience as Finance Director or Accounts Manager / Company Accountant
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Excel in particular
  • A team player who isn't afraid to jump in and help the team should it be necessary
  • Timely preparation of termly Management Accounts with supporting variance analysis
  • Assisting the Auditors in the preparation of the Statutory Accounts
  • Producing the workings and reviewing the final reports for the monthly payroll
  • Control Accounts
  • Prepare and review on a monthly basis to includes Banks, Payroll, Inter-company and Sales/Purchase Ledger
  • Statutory and Regulatory Returns
  • Prepare and review Quarterly VAT, Teachers Pension Annual Return, P11d's and Corporation Tax
  • Responsible for production of timely and accurate fee invoices
  • Assessment of bursary schemes which include new applications and existing renewals
  • Prepare monthly cash flow reviews and forecasts
  • Review with Director of Finance the aged debtors and their recovery
  • Management of the office in terms of objective setting and performance management

Your Profile

The successful applicant will be an experienced manager who has a proven track record of financial and administrative contract management, alongside partnering with senior leadership teams to provide advice and guidance. The financial manager is expected to provide management accounting support to identify opportunities for improvement and providing creative solutions to facilitate growth.
