Priory Education Services provides specialist residential and day education at our range of schools, colleges and care homes for children and young people with a range of special needs including ASD, BESD and specific learning difficulties associated with dyslexia. Our day schools are for children aged 8 to 19 years with severe to mild autistic spectrum disorder and associated learning difficulties. Pupils may also have challenging behaviour as a result if their communication difficulties and a lack of social understanding.
We are seeking to appoint a committed and reflective teacher, who has an understanding of how to meet the additional needs of pupils in a specialist provision, to join our vibrant and enthusiastic staff.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent skills in planning and reporting across the curriculum for key stages 2 & 3.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a small group of young people with autism and complex needs, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants. Additional training will be available where appropriate.

The following skills would be of benefit to the role:
• A good knowldege of autism and/or experience of working with young people on the autism spectrum
• Experience in teaching maths and science preferable.
