The Role:

Limejump is looking for quantitative risk analyst who will formalise the process of risk management. This involves business decision-making and enabling the process of risk taking, whilst improving our systems and processes and playing a pivotal part in scaling the growth of the business. This is an exciting role to build and cement the foundation for the future success of our company.


    Make recommendations to reduce or control risk, which may involve looking at and adjusting commercial contracts or having an insurance strategyWork with traders and quants to calculate the risk associated with specific transactions and optimisationsLiaise with underwriters and insurersForecast and monitor market trends in the energy markets focus on UK Power.Conduct research to assess the severity of riskScope and build quantitative statistical models to analyse and evaluate riskReview legal documents and counterpart commercial contractsPresent ideas via reports and presentations, outline findings and make recommendations for improvementsAnalyse our market position and running figures through complex modelling techniques to find value / profit at risk (VAR/PAR) measurementsSuggest software or help scope software that can be built internally to ensure our risk management is fit for purpose and for scaleStudy government legislation, which may affect a company, and advise on complianceAlways consider the organisation's assets and public image as part of risk managementDevelop contingency plans to deal with emergencies in how we manage our market positions
What we need from you:

    A sharp mind, lots of drive and some very solid people skillsYou will have a minimum 3+ years of experience in a quantitative environmentYou will have 1+ years experience within the commodities space ideally with exposure to UK electricity and gasProficient in various coding languages and statistical tools, ideally Python
