Finance Manager

I'm currently recruiting for an events and marketing company who are currently looking to appoint a Finance Manager to support the Finance Director in the control of the finance function which is made up of 3 people.

My client is one of the UK's largest PR companies who have booked over 50,000 separate events to date. Working as a team is one of my clients biggest ethos, having a good work ethic and business acumen is important for the company as the selected candidate you will be involved in senior management meetings with the board about new acquisitions and projects for the company.

Main responsibilities:

*Management of the finance & admin department currently consisting of 3 staff
*Responsible for month end shut down
*Prepare timely and accurately monthly management accounts, including accruals & prepayments, investigate variances
*Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
*Monthly payroll and year end payroll duties
*Authorising and processing of payments and the setting up of direct debits
*Work with the Business Unit managers to produce annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
*Prepare and forecast effectively the short term and long term cash flow
*Complete quarterly VAT returns
*Working closely with the Finance Director on project decisions
*Maintaining the company fixed asset register
*Liaise with Business Unit managers on any potential bad debts
*Identify support and implement system process improvements and controls
*Monitor and review of capital expenditure and that all controls regarding requests and authorisation levels followed
*Assist with the year end preparation
*Assist with the implementation of a new finance system

My client is specifically looking for a Management Accountant who is ambitions and eager to take that next step in their career and become a Finance Manager. As this business is continuing to expand it's important that you as an individual can cope with a forever changing working environment.


*You must be Part Qualified in ACCA/CIMA
*Advanced skills on Excel, including pivot tables and macros
*Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
*Strong attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
*Ability to direct and supervise
