Role Summary

To carry out periodic reviews of overall process flows to cover thematic compliance reviews. Examples might include, compliance with AML requirements; treatment of vulnerable customers; and so onTo carry out compliance monitoring work under the supervision of the Compliance Manager.Typically these reports will consider an assessment of the Customer Outcomes processes to ensure compliance, and will include, inter alia;Interviewing staff in the customer outcomes teamAssessing the methodology of the customer outcomes team e.g. Sampling basis, Checklists, etcReviewing key conclusions drawn and ensuring appropriate given the evidenceTo prepare reports summarising the results of such work, including areas of good practice, and areas for improvements.Review first line processes for identifying regulatory changes, and assess fitness for purposeReview regulatory changes and assess process for ensuring compliance, reporting on good practice, and on areas for improvementReview tools used, such as gap analyses for fitness for purpose and test basis for preparation, and conclusions drawn. Skills and ExperienceExperience with working in a regulated environment, specifically within the Financial Services sectorSound knowledge of the FCA HandbookConfidence to challenge effectively at all levels.Ability to interpret complex regulatory informationDepartment OverviewThe risk functions provides independent oversight and supports the risk framework, including risk appetites, risk maps, risk registers, and top risks; as well as stress and scenario testing. The functions reports through executive risk committees to the Group Risk Committee.
