The Role

We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Support Analyst to join our team in Rotherham to provide support and maintenance as well as delivering solutions to complex issues for issues within a busy contact centre. A big emphasis is safeguarding the cyber security of the business so an advanced technical knowledge within this area would be very useful.

Key responsibilities include:

·Ensure that the IT infrastructure performs in line with expected requirements and that service performance and availability is maintained

·Ensure that the IT infrastructure is sufficiently flexible to cope with growth and business changes, aligning the IT strategy with the business strategy

·Design, configure, optimise, monitor and maintain the servers, telephony, LAN and WAN configurations and in doing so providing an effective, reliable and secure communications infrastructure that follows industry best practice to underpin all corporate systems

·Take ownership to investigate and troubleshoot issues, including tracing root causes and fixes on an OS, network & server level

·Ensure operations procedures, policies and industry standards are reviewed and implemented effectively

·Ensure that BAU activity is undertaken and maintained on a daily basis

·Provide technical guidance and support to projects

·Ensure IT systems and services are secure and adhere to best practices, audit and regulatory requirements

·Maintain appropriate and up-to-date contingency plans to ensure continuity of operations as indicated by the business continuity planning framework

·Responsibility for operational IT Security and compliance

·Monitor systems and review logs/alerts with consideration for security, confidentiality and compliance

·Define and document architectural standards

·Interpret business requirements to design technical solutions in-line with agreed architectural standards

·Provide knowledgeable, confident and comprehensive support in and out of operational hours

·Communicate with all levels of staff, business clients and support companies to achieve exceptional performance

What you will bring

·Practical knowledge of security, security techniques, deployment and control within an IT environment

·Demonstrable knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, MS Exchange, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

·Demonstrable knowledge of Windows server 2003 to 2016, LANs, WANs, Virtualisation, SANs, SQL Server, network design, firewalls, VMware ESX and HyperV

·Proven track record of delivering changes and maintaining infrastructure within targets

·Knowledge of dialler and telephony system

·Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues

·Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
