The job in a nutshell

The Trainee Buyer role is an amazing opportunity for someone who is passionate about cars to come to the CarShop Family and make an incredible difference.

Our analysts are constantly ensuring we have the right stock in the right stores however there are sometimes gaps. This is where your role makes a difference. The analysts will provide you with a shopping list of requirements and it is your job to understand those requirements and work with our suppliers and online auctions to acquire the required stock.

This is initially a trainee role for 6 - 12 months and at the end of that there will be a salary review, depending on skills and performance.

What you will be doing

This job is to understand the vehicle shopping list provided to you and work with our suppliers and online auctions to acquire the required stock. You will have full autonomy to purchase the required stock where it meets with our criteria. This means that, like most jobs nowadays you will have some KPI’s and quality standards to meet.

What we think good looks like

As with most jobs we would like you to have an interest and passion in cars and in in what we do. With professionalism and a smart appearance, we would also appreciate it if you had superb communication skills, especially over the telephone and be highly self-motivated with an abundance of initiative and common sense. Naturally, due to the nature of the job you will be proficient in the use of IT packages such as excel and word. You must have a full UK Driving License.
