Project Engineer (Maintenance Facilities Planning)

Salary: Circa £42k pa + paid Overtime + Pension + Car Scheme + Private Health + Life Assurance

We have a new requirement within our Powertrain area of the business. Initially being offered on an 18 month fixed term contract. The Project Engineer will have considerable Planning, Schedule & Project Management with the ability to work as part of a cross functional team. You will have solid experience gained within a manufacturing environment and have knowledge of current European Machine Legislation & Standards. Given the nature of the work load, a previous maintenance background with a strong electrical bias would be advantageous.

Main Duties for the Engineer:

    Specification of new and modified plant manufacturing equipment Creation and management of schedules Management and control of contractor works Management of budgets - Revenue and Capital Machine safety improvements including safety device upgrades, safety matrices, facility risk assessments etc Creation and management of obsolescence and refurbishment activities Implement ideas to improve OEE Support productivity ideas and review machine concepts Provide technical support to Maintenance Dept.
Minimum Education & Experience:

    HNC or equivalent Planning, Schedule & Project Management Ability to work as part of a cross functional team Knowledge of current European Machine Legislation & Standards Strong Electrical Background Analytical & logical approach to problem solving Good PC skills & experience with PLC's Good communication & negotiation skills
