My client, an exciting global organisation based in Chertsey, are seeking an a Product Liability Specialist to join their service department to deliver additional support initially until the end of the year, with a possible extension depending on workload.

Reporting to the Customer Relations Manager, the successful candidate will take ownership of Product Liability claims and interact with the consumer and other parties involved to provide efficient case handling. This role requires the holder to have a great deal of tenacity, flexibility, analytical and multi-tasking skills. The ideal candidate will have customer services experience, excellent attention to detail and have experience dealing with sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities include:
Manage Product Liability escalations from contact centre and other parties
Resolve major incidents resulting in property damage or personal injury
Prevent external exposure of any potential safety issue or consistent product failure
Accurately reporting product fault allowing factories to amend production practices
Accurately analyse the consumer's liability and the product defect
Efficiently understand the consumer's emotional state and requirements and deal with the case according
Deciding and investigating whether liability lies with the consumer or the Manufacturer
Resolving cases within deadlines considering the consumer's demands and the commercial requirements
Working with appointed insurers to manage cases
Monitoring trends and liaising with Contact Centres for case handling
Manage all Trading Standard escalations as a primary contact and see the case through
Interact with Retailers regarding Product Liability Claims from their consumers
Managing local data bank and log in weekly reporting

To be considered you will have the following skills and experience:
Proven experience in service management operations and claims handling
Proven experience with common IT systems and automated reporting
Customer Services experience
Statistical Analysis experience
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel
Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Problem solving and negotiation skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to multi task and effectively prioritise
Robust personality
Commercial awareness
Understanding of Product Liability and Insurance Claims
