We are currently looking for a Lead Automation Tester based in our Moorgate offices. You will help build a test practice in a dynamic micro services technology business. Acting as a key member of the agile software development team, you will be creating, implementing and supporting automated testing initiatives for data driven applications.You will be able to bring experience and best practice in defining and executing automated test suites for continuous delivery in enterprise level solutions using techniques such as BDD to ensure quality in a fast-paced development environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse product specifications, decompose complicated software systems, and design strategies to test these systems
  • Represent quality in any technical discussion, decision and design involved during product development
  • Be involved in all stages of the software development life cycle with particular focus on requirements analysis & acceptance testing
  • Work closely with agile scrum teams to develop, maintain and execute automated test suites
  • Responsible for owning test strategy and implantation for product suite
  • Lead testers' teams
  • Identifying and implementing test automation where necessary
  • Investigation and replication of issues
  • Develop and govern test processes
  • You:

    The techy bit we need you to be really great at:

  • 3+ years' experience of automated testing, preferably in cloud environment for web based solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to lead local and remote test teams
  • 1 years' experience working within an agile environment
  • Very good experience of using Rest Assured or an equivalent framework
  • Strong hands on experience of using and implementing Behavioural Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber & Gherkin
  • Experience in leading acceptance tests standards plus development and governance of test processes
  • Good experience in testing Back End technologies- Java, Docker, NoSQL data stores, AWS
  • Experience in testing automation within a continuous integration environment
  • Experience in leading the creation of framework for API and UI testing
  • Experience in monitoring and managing testing cycle progress
  • Skills to implement improvements to test automation framework
  • Git experience (or other DVCS)
  • Ability to change direction and re-prioritise in a fast-paced team environment
  • Experience in all types of testing including exploratory testing
