Job Description
Position Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for Data, Technology & System Architecture to develop information architecture, system design and to support security, data protection (GDPR) requirements and Privacy by Design.The Architect will also be responsible for establishing current and target state architectures and roadmaps to design and build systems for Corporate Functions (HR, Finance, Accounting, IT, Software Development, Security, CRM, etc.). The Architect will be required to assess the current state business and technical capabilities, capture desired future capabilities, define a target state, and provide a road map to transition from the current to the target state based on business drivers and business objectives. This position will be required to drive stakeholder alignment to achieve integrated Corporate Systems Roadmap to realize target vision and lead the solution design and implementation of new Corporate Functions business and technical capabilities. This position will also be responsible for acting as the liaison with 3rd party Managed Service Providers for Corporate Systems.We’re looking for people who can walk in two worlds – a start-up environment where development is collaborative and rapid; and a production environment where we run and monitor the performance of the platform.
Main Responsibilities:
• Designing a complete and complex framework, system or product. • Conceiving a wide range of system interfaces and business application prototypes. • Identifying, analysing and resolving system design weaknesses. • Influencing the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems. • Providing multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives. • Responsible for scope related decisions and draws conclusions related to the design needs during program initiation and provides oversight and input into the design phases.• Defining a wide range of processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.• May provide input and direction on projects. • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
In addition to the above you will carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required. You may occasionally be required to travel within Europe in this role.
Person Specification
Qualifications, experience and knowledge
Essential • Batchelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis or a related field. Or equivalent work experience• Extensive experience of IT and business/industry work experience including architecture design and deployment• Proven track record of delivering solutions effectively and efficiently • Substantial experience in an enterprise solution / delivery architecture role• TOGAF 9, SOA, ArchiMate, DEMO, BPM, Pronto, DYA, Zachman, DYA, IAF, Business Model Canvas, BIP, NORA 3, DUTO, Spiral Dynamics (Graves) team coaching, storytelling • BiSL, ASL, ITIL, PRINCE 2, DAMA/DMBOK
Personal skills and attributes • The success candidate will able to assess and baseline our current position, propose a Target Operating Model based on best practices, and deliver this program • Proven experience in communicating effectively with senior management, especially when sensitive issues are involved• Outcome focused• Strong relationship building and collaboration skills• Self starter with the ability to drive projects forward • Flexibility and willingness to partner with key stakeholders• Entrepreneurial look at bringing solutions to the community
