Location - Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Salary - £ 25,000 - £ 28,000 + Excellent Benefits

Award winning and innovatively recognised insurance Company with a strong presence in the Motor, Home and Pet Insurance markets, are seeking to recruit a Junior Test Analyst to the Group based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

The Junior Test Analyst will be working as part of a growing team based in Tunbridge Wells providing quality assurance services to support technology delivery across the group insurance products and services. The main focus of the role will be testing of both web and bespoke insurance systems developed internally.

• Supports the entire development process from a testing perspective, from concept to cash.
• Creates and / or oversees the production of test scripts for varying purposes: including system, user acceptance, cross browser/device and accessibility.
• Manages the defect tracking and resolution process, coordinating feedback between developers, testers, users and other stakeholders.
• To quickly learn and gain knowledge on all key Software testing functions and processes.
• To Learn and manage all aspects of HP Quality Centre test tool.
• Assist in the creation of test scripts to support continuous integration and build processes.
• Testing methodologies, frameworks and controls ensuring that code can be repeatedly and reliably tested.
• Departmental wide management of hosting and configuration management.
• Assist in the creation of test scripts to support continuous integration and build processes.

Skills Required:
• Experience of High transaction e-commerce applications and architectures. May have worked on systems with major aggregators such as confused.com.
• An enthusiastic approach and eagerness to learn.
• Be familiar with software delivery tools and processes for concurrent development and proficient in source code management practices.
• Basic knowledge of a range of testing tools and techniques.
• Ability to understand design patterns and practices and translate these into appropriate test strategies.
• Be familiar with a range of agile practices and positively contribute to implementing and improving these.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and development teams.
• Be familiar with the deployment and configuration management activities.
• Must be a team player and be able to support the team when required.

• Familiar with a variety of mainstream testing tools and techniques - Basic- 1 year +(desirable)
• Agile methodologies - Basic - 1 year +(desirable)
• HP Application Lifecycle Management (Quality Centre) [or equivalent] - Basic- 1 year +(desirable)
• Structured Query Language - Basic - 1 year +(desirable)
