Ace Appointments (Midlands) Ltd Temporary division is currently recruiting for a Pension Officer for an initial 3 month assignment with the view to become perm in the future.This is not an accountants position but we wish to seek candidates who are numerate and literate with good customer service skills to deal with pensions calculations. Accounts assisting experience is desirable, Ideally looking for candidates who have worked in this environment previously would be perfect. ***Please ensure you adapt your CV to the role required***

Duties will include: Pension calculations for employees Benefit calculations Data input and validation Checking of colleague’s casework Whilst experience of working in a similar environment, the team will provide full and comprehensive training to give the skills and confidence candidates need to undertake the role. The successful candidates will have excellent attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively through all available channels. Training will be provided and will take at least 3 months for the candidate to learn the role and work will be checked on a regular basis to assess whether further training is required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail

Essential:

·5 GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalents

·GCSE Maths Grade C or equivalent

·2 ‘A’ levels (4 AS Levels) or equivalent

·Accounts Assisting Background

·Ability to translate legislation into business procedures/processes

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·Ability to explain clearly complex pension issues to non specialists

·Confident analysing pension issues and offering sound, reliable and professional advice

·Ability to efficiently and accurately validate pensions and personnel data and prepare data capture spreadsheets in specified file format

·Extremely high attention to detail

·Initiative and ability to plan and organise time and resources to ensure that deadlines/targets are met

·The personal qualities and skills that promote open and constructive relations with colleagues and customers

·Good IT skills

·Fully competent is MS Office applications

·Able to prepare and manipulate data extracts

Hours: Monday – Friday – 09.00 – 17.00 - 37 hours per week – Hourly Rate: £12.74 - £12.89
