Salary Up to £40,000pa DOE

Our client have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Test Lead to join their growing IT Team based in Wakefield. Reporting to the Head of IT Delivery, this role will cover all aspects of functional testing and UAT, and will involve working with the project teams to make sure all test activities are delivered within the required timescales.

Key responsibilities include;

Creating Testing documentation and reports for all stages of the Test Cycle, creating test scenarios, cases and scripts to be used during executionReview the business requirements to ensure they are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and TestableDerive test cases and scripts from the business requirements and identify and arrange any required test dataEnsure all test assets are held and managed within the clients selected Test Management toolCo-ordinate the test execution activities. Along with managing the defect tracing process within the test management toolProduce progress reports for the project and for senior management and are delivered within agreed project timelines including all data/statistics (i.e. test metrics)Recognise any changes necessary to existing business processes and assist the relevant project manager in ensuring the business are aware of the impact ahead of release, and have received the necessary educationThe ideal candidate will:

Have previous experience in a Test Lead or Senior Test Analyst role which involves coordination and management of a small test team.Possess outstanding time management skills with the tenacity to achieve tight deadlines, whilst being an excellent team player and communicator, who is able to build strong relationships across the companyHave accurate documentation skills for all stages of the Test Cycle and have a solid understanding of Functional Testing and UAT and what is involved with delivering a quality serviceGave a strong understanding of test methodologies and tools (Microsoft Test Manager preferable)Be positive, adaptable and able to work under pressure in a changing environment and be highly organised analytical and logical mind-set with a focus on qualityA willingness to learn and implement testing approaches and methodologiesQualifications in ISEB or ISTQB is highly desirableThis is an exciting role with genuine prospects for the right candidate.
