Joining Vodafone is more than a job, what we do matters. We don’t just carry minutes, texts and data – we carry people’s lives. And that’s a huge responsibility. If you think for a minute about the people you rely on…the likelihood is they rely on us.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do and we want to make a difference to the lives of our customers, and the communities in which we live and work. We support our people to give something back to the causes that mean the most to them through helping them give time and money to the charities they love.

And what’s it like to work here? We have created an environment where you can look forward to coming to work and are empowered to be at your best. We offer flexibility in how you work that helps you do your job in a way that suits you, opportunities to help you grow and progress throughout your career, and a choice of benefits to suit your lifestyle.

Technology at Vodafone

Millions of people interact with Vodafone Technology every day without even realising it. Our products deliver many essential services that are critical to the lives of many different people. We connect all sorts of businesses including banks, shops and the media to and critical services, such as the emergency services. Our technology and network is the backbone to everything we deliver and without it we wouldn’t have a business. That’s why we’re investing heavily in it and we need talented people to help us deliver the next wave of innovation.

About the role

IT Architects/Designers wanted to find innovative solutions to business problems, using a diverse range of technologies.

This is a great opportunity for IT architects and designers who want to work in an organisation with huge scale and diversity that is on a journey to digitise the way customers interact with its services exploiting new and existing technologies to the full.

We’re looking for a range of different architect/designer roles to take the lead in taking business problems and translating them in to systems strategy or IT solution designs. This could be for anything from a simple IT change to launch a new mobile service to consumers – to the redesign of a complex network solution, or the transformation of the way we do business with both individual customers and large corporations.

It’s an exciting opportunity for both aspiring and seasoned technical solution architects to join the team, solving problems across all types of technologies. As a result, your mind-set is just as important as your breadth of technical & commercial experience.

If you are irritated by poor customer service, a natural go-getting problem-solver who is not afraid to try new approaches, able to adapt quickly to learnings to succeed or fail fast, and can bring stakeholders on a journey to incrementally add value to the business, we want to hear from you.

Desired skills and experience
  • End to end solution design experience
  • Ability to work within a technical environment
  • Ability to build and maintain strong ongoing relationships across a business with internal and external stakeholders
  • Consulting, Finance, Retail, IT or Telco background

At Vodafone you will have access to our excellent flexible benefits programme that you would expect from any global company.
