·Business partner - True strategic partnership with the UK & EMEA Managing Director - this relationship needs to be collaborative and partnering in style and ensure strategic business plans are developed and executed to support the business vision and growth; you would be viewed as the trusted right hand person;

Management and control – day to day management of team of 14 (4 direct reports); query resolution / escalation, career development and ongoing mentoring / support. The Finance Director will be responsible for ensuring their team and processes and controls develop in line with the fast pace and increasingly global nature of the company to ensure they can remain in control of the business, decision making and reporting;Budgeting/forecasting - Translate agreed business strategy into an ambitious plan that maximises income, grows margin and manages risk, identifying areas for further growth and profit improvement. You will be responsible for working with the business to achieve all agreed plans and budgets.Financial reporting and controls– The Finance Director will manage a small team of accountants to produce accurate and insightful management information and forecasts allowing them and the rest of the business to track performance and trends. The Finance Director will be responsible for driving continuous improvement – identifying process improvements / issues and driving changes (implemented by team) to deliver continual improvement across finance team; driving more accurate / efficient / relevant results.·Commercial– Working with a small commercial team the Finance Director must have oversight of and input into all commercial terms being agreed with clients and be a key contributor to the major deals sales process, presenting key financial data to clients as part of the overall proposals, creating innovative commercial structures for large and complex deals and improving commercial terms to drive margin;

Background and experience

You will be a qualified accountant with a recognised UK or equivalent accountancy qualification and will have gained significant experience in an outsourcing environment providing commercial and finance support on large outsourcing contracts and negotiations and being a key part of driving business growth. Ideally you will have prior experience of contracting roles and have the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with the business, key stakeholders and the finance team.

You will have the ability to build effective working relationships with all levels within the business, as well as build credible and proactive relationships with external stakeholders (clients, suppliers, bank etc.). You will be experienced in building and developing a small but growing Finance team.
