We are looking for experienced Travel Consultants to join an exciting travel business in Cumbria. These opportunities would suit someone who has spent time living or working in on the locations listed above, or who has previously worked in the travel industry as a specialist in that area.

The business is in its infancy stages as a start-up business, following the huge success the owner has experienced previously in the travel industry. The Purpose of the Job
The role of the Experienced Travel Consultant is to design and sell tailor-made holidays to our customers, whilst at the same time providing exceptional service in all parts of the process. You will need to be able to do this whilst maximising profits and developing your own destination knowledge through regular travel to your destination of expertise. This role does not involve any cold calling or telesales. The business is founded upon referrals, inbound enquiries, and strong advertising and marketing efforts.

Job Details and Duties

  • Set up and creation of your expert location to add to the business portfolio
  • Design and creation of all literature and brochures to promote your luxury holiday location’s
  • Dealing directly with customers by email, over the telephone & occasionally in person
  • Finding out about their holiday plans, understanding them, and the key things they want to get out of their holiday
  • Using your experience to put together their perfect holiday, and being able to explain clearly why
  • Making the sale, whilst also ensuring profitability within agreed price plans
  • Contacting customers after their holidays to get feedback on their experiences
  • Opportunity to be responsible as a junior product manager for a specific destination.
  • Managing supplier relationships, ensuring our Website is up to date
  • Having an ethical and responsible approach in all dealings with our customers and with our suppliers

To be successful in this role you will need to be experienced in your holiday destination location, positive, polite, have exceptional attention to detail, be a good listener, and incredibly determined. Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook) is a pre-requisite. Your personality, drive and overall attitude is much more important to us.
