I have a fantastic opportunity with NHS England for a Data Architect in Durham. This role is a temporary assignment for initially 5 months with a view to be extended, Monday to Friday and full time 37.5 hours a week.
Data Architect- NHS - Job Purpose
You will work as part of a dynamic team in loading and transforming national datasets into an existing data store.
You will act as the organisational lead for the design, development and support of the NECS data infrastructure and associated technologies, tools and solutions to deliver an effective data management service to NECS customers. To oversee day to day operation of the NECS data infrastructure including management of SQL Servers, optimising performance and delivering maximum availability in accordance with agreed KPIs.
You will support the strategic planning of current and future data management solutions, researching and reviewing recognised best practice and upcoming changes to technology. You will oversee the development of data logic to load, validate, cleanse and cost datasets in accordance with national guidance and locally agreed business rules ensuring all data routines are documented and formally agreed. Lead, manage and provide expert advice and support to the data analysis and data administration teams including setting and prioritising work plans and objectives making best use of available resource and embedding quality throughout the service
This role requires a highly experienced data architect with SUS or PrP knowledge. Have a good knowledge of SQL Server and writing and optimising queries in TSQL. SSIS would be helpful.
Data Architect- NHS - Key skills:
You will need to have a strong background in a data architect within the NHS or similar Public Sector Environment.
