We are working with an independent through school based in Burgess Hill which is rated as Excellent by the ISI.
The school caters for students aged 2 to 18 years of age. The school is in need of a Teacher of Economics to join the team as soon as possible and cover for the rest of the term. This role will encompass both GCSE and A Level teaching.
Your new role
In your new Economics teaching job you will enjoy working within a secondary school situated in the Burgess Hill area and will specialise within Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. You will be starting as soon as possible and covering 1 full term. You will teach both GCSE and A Level Economics. You will be responsible for developing the students and guiding them on ways to improve. You will plan and prepare lessons, as well as setting appropriate homework and coursework and have regular contact with students.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this Teacher of Economics role you will need to have qualified teacher status, or be looking to complete your induction year. You will have excellent subject knowledge within Economics, have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative, committed and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to other members of staff and people in the school.
