Elite Audit recruitment are currently recruiting for a new role with a highly reputable and leading UK financial services company based in Bournemouth, Dorset.

The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Senior IT Audit Manager and the Internal Audit Director in delivering independent, objective and timely assurance and advice to Senior Management and the Board. This will involve appraising the effectiveness of Risk Management and internal controls across the group and in particular the controls in place to mitigate key IT and business risks. In order to do this, you will need to be confident in engaging with a wide range of business stakeholders and be able to undertake audit and advisory assignments, assess the risks and be able to advise on the application of appropriate internal controls.

Valued and vital, Internal Audit is integral to every area of the Group. The size and scope of the business, the broad spectrum of our products and services and our ambitious, fast-growing nature make this an incredibly interesting time to join the company. Joining Internal Audit will allow you to be involved in some of the highest profile projects across and support the achievement of the Group's strategic objectives and plans by providing robust independent assurance. Trusted and respected as an advisor to the Group, you will influence key changes, decision-making and risk management, building excellent working relationships along the way.

About You:

You must have at least two years' experience of risk based IT auditing either in practice or an Internal Audit function. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a clear understanding of Audit controls with relevant knowledge of all aspects of IT governance, management and delivery preferably within a regulated industry. In addition you should have knowledge of the systems development lifecycle and methodologies. You will also have a good market knowledge of emerging technologies, particularly in relation to e-commerce and digital markets, their application within the industry and potential impact to an IT organisations' risk profile. If you're already CISA qualified then great if not then you need to be already working towards it.

Naturally you will have an analytical approach with excellent problem solving skills and an ability to be innovative. As well as having good commercial awareness and a broad knowledge of a range of IT infrastructures, environments and systems, a key aspect to the success of this role is to have excellent listening, written and verbal communication and influencing skills. We're looking for a strong team player with the ability to take the lead where appropriate.

Together with an excellent basic salary you will benefit from 30 days holiday, staff discounts on FS products and a Bonus.
