The SEO Team

Publishing is the biggest department at this fast growing tech company and is responsible for all of the company’s websites.

We are looking for an SEO Manager to lead the content strategy for our Healthcare and Home Improvements brands. The team is focused on creating high quality, searchable and useful content for people considering elective surgery (e.g. laser eye) or to make improvements to their home (e.g. purchasing solar panels). The team also conducts world class research and regularly features in the UK’s top publications and newspapers.

The Role of SEO Manager

The SEO Manager (Sites) has complete ownership of one (or a small portfolio of) my client's most important Publishing websites.

Managing a team of SEO Executives the SEO Manager (Sites) will set the publishing strategy for their website and ensure this is delivered with a view to increase organic search traffic and revenue.

The SEO Manager (Sites) is also responsible for the quality of all of the content on their website(s), and ensuring the bar for content quality continues to be set higher and that these standards are maintained.

Responsibilities of SEO Manager:

  • Own and drive the content strategy for one of my client's key Publishing websites
  • Have ownership of the website and final say over all stakeholders working on the website from around the business (Technical SEO, PR, Brand, CRO, Tech)
  • Create world class content that offers unique value to a user and is trusted by search engines
  • Manage & support a team of SEO Executives to develop SEO skills & drive results
  • Ensure best practice optimisation is implemented across the site (title tags, meta descriptions, etc.)
  • Use all appropriate and available SEO tools to inform decisions and communicate analysis clearly
  • Work with the CRO team to identify conversion rate improvements
  • Work with the Technical SEO team to deliver high-value projects that will improve the website
  • Experience of SEO Manager:

  • A passion for editorial and proven experience of creating world class content
  • Proven experience managing a website and growing organic traffic and revenue month-on-month
  • Proven SEO skills
  • Proven people management experience
  • Experience creating and driving the organic content strategy for a website or brand
  • Experience of outreach campaigns
  • Experience of using a CMS and HTML (Wordpress & Drupal)
