Role Overview Sopra Steria are searching for a Configuration, Integration and Assurance Manager, initially for a 4-month contract, with scope for this to be further extended. To achieve success 'The Project' must automate more of its processes in order to deliver against aggressive timescales and deliver to our customer. Programme Management have recognised the opportunity to improve the management requirements of 'The Project' and how the solution designed as an integrated system across suppliers and delivery teams. This role will manage the Solution Team, be accountable for the definition of scope, the solution design, and provide expertise in tools integration and automation to support the delivery of the system. Key Responsibilities The Programme Configuration, Integration and Assurance Manager will provide a disciplined approach to coordinating a coherent, robust and consistent release package. The individual will work in support of the Programme and its formal deliverable releases and patches as required ensuring that configurable items including: - Environments to support Integration, Testing and Deliver - Application Components - Documentation and Training Material Delivered to the required level of quality/assurance. The individual will ensure that the release includes all the relevant and associated Requirements, Change Requests, Defect Fixes, and that these are consistent as the release passes through the stages and environments on the path to live. Specifically the individual will: - Identify, define, document and manage all configuration items relating to the initial release of the software. - Plan and manage a schedule of work that ensures environments are built, available and configured in support of development, test and release activities. Manage associated risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies. - Co-ordinate the packaging, installation/deployment, testing and assurance of configuration items that together constitute the full release. - Specifically ensure that integration testing is performed successfully; co-ordinating activities of all parties to meet defined acceptance criteria. - Provide a report on the Release's stability and an assessment and assurance that the release can progress to formal testing. - As part of the acceptance process, ensure that all required documentation is produced, reviewed and agreed prior to release; managing relationships and coordinating work between different teams at different locations.
