Job Description – Trusts and Foundations Executive (22.5 hours per week with opportunity to increase hours in the medium term) Overview This is an exciting time to Join Renewable World as we strive to lift 100,000 out of poverty through the power of renewable energy. Our trusts and foundations portfolio is worth around £350,000 per annum and we know we are capable of more. This part-time role will be based in our office in Brighton with the possibility of working from home and some international travel. The salary for this role is in the region of £30,000 - £40,000 pro-rata depending on proven fundraising experience. Purpose Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, the Trusts and Foundations Executive will be responsible for the overall management of the Trusts and Foundations portfolio (currently worth over £350,000 year), looking to grow it to £500,000 by 2019.  This will be achieved by   Building personal relationships with current Trusts and Foundations, preparing successful bids and submissions, a compelling case for support and focussing on face-to-face meetings, presentations and networking. Working with intern resource and closely with our offices in Nepal and Kenya, manage the process of researching new UK and overseas Trusts and Foundations. Developing strong supporter journeys with the Trusts and Foundations portfolio.     Key Working Relationships This role directly reports to the Fundraising Manager and will involve developing close working relationships with Renewable World UK and overseas teams, Trustees, Ambassadors and other supporters.   Job Functions The role requires both a strategic outlook and hands-on approach to the development of existing and new relationships. The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a multi-year Trusts and Foundations strategy in order to significantly grow income.   The Trusts Executive will have considerable experience and track record in   · Strategically growing the portfolio of Trusts and Foundations  · Strategic and day-to-day management of Trust and Foundations relationships. · Providing management reports and analysis on Trust income and strategies · Researching and identifying potential new UK and overseas trust donors · Developing and implementing a Trust and Foundations strategy and annual plan (income and expenditure)         Person specification 7 years or more Trust and Foundations fundraising experience, including within an international charity Experience of producing funding reports and project budgets Excellent communication skills and track record in developing strong relationships with funders Excellent research, prospecting and planning skills Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels both internally and externally to win commitment, consensus and support Excellent project and time management experience Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines A proactive, independent worker with the ability to work as part of a team and prioritise work accordingly · Excellent written and oral communication skills A good understanding of budgeting, and using Excel spreadsheets Experience of using a fundraising or similar database, preferably Salesforce for analysis A willingness to travel in the UK and potentially annual international travel Inspired and passionate about the work we do   Interviews will be held on the week of 23rd October.
