ICT Teacher job in Cardiff. Full-time job teaching KS3 and KS4 ICT classes.
Your new school
This school is a 11 - 18 co-educational secondary school who provide a first class education for over a thousand pupils living within Cardiff and the surrounding areas. The faculty is organised in eight departments English, Maths/ICT, Science, Humanities, Languages, Creative Arts, Technology and Physical Education. The school are a 'Green' school meaning they are rated in the first tier of schools in Wales by the Welsh Government. Due to the absence of a permanent member of their ICT department they are currently recruiting for a qualified ICT teacher to cover the long-term sickness.
Your new role
Starting immediately you will join a committed ICT department. You will be responsible for teaching a mixed timetable of KS3 and KS4 ICT lessons, full-time, five days a week. Experience in teaching business studies is desirable but not essential. Your role will include full teaching responsibilities including planning and preparation of lessons, marking and assessment and pastoral responsibilities for a form class.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified teacher registered with the Education Workforce Council. You will have previous experience teaching KS3 and KS4 ICT in a secondary school. You will have a passion for learning and have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results. You will also possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check.
