Our Nottingham city centre support office is home to the Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC), which provides high quality finance back-office service including Business Systems Support, Sales Accounting, redit Control, Pensions for the UK, Republic of Ireland and Netherlands territories.

This exciting development role offers the opportunity to support the implementation of the Oracle enablers, where you will assist with regular monitoring of all error and exception messages. Experience in financial analysis is essential as you will support the month end process, and you will investigate any data issues that may occur in the interface tables.

The delivery of continuous improvement for the FSSC is a key part of the role as you will maintain the documentation for the improvements made, such as process maps and standard operating procedures.

You will work closely with the FSSC teams to deliver standardised system and technical training, so you will need to be able to adapt your communication style, tools and techniques to suit the nature of the information and the audience.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with support the implementation of the Oracle enablers Basware and Trintech including system administration duties.

Assist with support for the month end close process including resolving any Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable import errors.
Assist with daily/regular monitoring of all error messages and exceptions where data issues have occurred in the interface tables.
  • Deliver continuous improvement opportunities for the FSSC.

Deliver standardised system and technical training for the FSSC.
Maintain effective and appropriate documentation for each improvement, including process maps and standard operating procedures, where necessary.
To assist with ad hoc project responsibilities in support of the wider business. i.e. Oracle and Genesys.
Assist with systems and software issues to ensure delivery of effective BAU and process improvements across the FSSC.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications


  • Ability to analyse and interpret data.

Experienced in administration of Orcale Advanced Pricing - Virtual Trader.
Knowledge/Awareness of Business Functions within the FSSC.
Advanced Excel knowledge and working knowledge of Visual Basic.
Ability to manage and deliver to deadlines.
Ability to build relationships at all levels.
Adaptable and works effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups.
Ability to ensure messages are clearly understood by adopting a range of styles, tools and techniques appropriate to the audience and the nature of the information.
