-Test Team Lead -Glasgow -Permanent -Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 + Benefits I am currently recruiting for a Test Team Lead on a permanent basis for my Financial Services client in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Test Team Lead to come and work on a major project and grow the business. This is an all encompassing role which will involve the management and resourcing of project test teams, as well as working closely with numerous stakeholders across the business. The role may also involve some travel on occasion. In this role you will plan, lead and deliver the test components of delivery. Due to the nature of this role, it is essential that the right candidate will understand the full scope and end to end process of the project lifecycle. A solid background and appreciation of non-functional testing is extremely desirable for this role also. Responsibilities; - Accountability for the end to end delivery of test components for a project, through the effective management and development of staff within a multi-disciplined project team ensuring staff well motivated, utilising acquired skills and working at optimum level. - Accountability for the creation of the Test Strategy and associated Test Documentation for each project, covering the required test phases and ensuring organisational standards are met. - Accountability for liaising with the Environment Test Manager to ensure the correct environment and configuration is in place at the right time. - Responsibility for taking on Test Analyst, Test Project Lead and Test Management where necessary. - Assist in the recruitment process alongside Test Manager and liaise with 3rd parties and Business Test Manager where appropriate. - Monitoring performance against project plans to ensure effective delivery of testing components of IT projects within budget and to agreed timescales Identifying, managing and recording risks and issues across the full testing life cycle. - Engagement and stakeholder management of the key IT, 3rd Party and business stakeholders. - Act as a point of contact for issues arising from Test projects. - Hold and run Test team meetings. - Mentoring/Training of colleagues as and when required - Knowledge, skills and experience desired; - Proven track record in Leading Test Teams within a financial services environment essential. - ISEB Testing Foundation Certificate. - Experience of Non-Functional Testing. - An excellent understanding of the principles of software testing. - Extensive experience of Agile methodology. - Extensive experience of Test Design; Execution; Defect Management across a number of projects. - Well versed in a variety of testing techniques and test approaches. - Excellent team player with ability to work closely with others to deliver results.
