My client, a national Facilities management provider is currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer in the Nottimgham area to cover sites in close vicinity. The candidate would require the following experience; * Knowledge of Heating and Ventilation systems, in a commercial environment. * An understanding of Indirect and Direct Controls. * An understanding of commercial fans in all applications. * Supply and Extract fans and associated controls / safety features. * A knowledge of package units, experience with York, Trane, Lennox. * LPHW systems. * Understanding of direct and indirect hot water systems. * An ability to fault find and remedy. * Experience on BMS systems would be beneficial (Delta, Allerton, Trend) * Offer appropriate adviceon ensuring maximum longevity of equipment. * Keep client up to date with constant changes in legislation and regulations. * Importantly an attitude to have ownership of the job until it is complete. A successful candidate would be expected to carry out maintenance and reapir to the above equipment. The position requires the engineer to carry out successful diagnosis and effective repairs and when a first time fix is not possible, the ability to build a detailed quotation on the follow on works required. Other requirements A successful candidate would require the following qualifications: * Commercial and Domestic minimum requirement, however other qualifications can be obtained as required. * COCN1 * ICPN1 * TPCP1 * TPCP1A * CIGA1 * CORT1 * CDGA1 * CCN1 * CENWAT * CPA1 * Full Driving License * Dbs (High Level) * IPAF and PASMA Information: Expected salary £29.500.00 - Dependant on experience T and C's: - Holiday Entitlement 25 days plus statutory holidays. - On call rota is presently 1 in 9 weeks but subject to change. If not available during nominated period then it is the responsibility of the engineer to source replacement cover and give details to the Helpdesk Team of who will be covering. - Expect to manage workload and maintain communication with the Dispatch & Helpdesk Team. - Working away to meet the needs of the business. - The vehicle supplied will be fit and equipped and suitable for purpose. - Fuel Card will be supplied by the business for use with the supplied vehicle. - Hand tools to be supplied by the candidate. - Specialist Tools will be assessed by the Line Manager and as approved. - Does the candidate have any days when they need to start work late or finish early? - The expectation is for the engineer to be on site for 08.00 and will require a degree of flexibility to meet business needs in the event oif an emergency. Engineers are paid 'door to door'. Should there be an emergency during normal working hours (08.00 - 16.45) the dispatch team will select the nearest engineer with the correct skill set to attend. - Uniform will be supplied by the business. - PPE will be issued by the business. - Expenses will only be paid with a valid receipt. - A phone and Tablet will be issued by the business.
