Science Teacher job in Mid Powys. Long-term role teaching KS3 and KS4 Science classes.
Your new school
This school is a mixed, 11 - 18, mainstream secondary school located in Powys. The school has nine hundred pupils and is situated in an affluent location. The school has been established for over sixty years and is based in a mix of traditional and modern buildings. Five percent of pupils are entitled to full school meals (significantly below the national seventeen percent average) the school have a good reputation and achieved strong results in examinations last year. They are currently recruiting for a Science teacher.
Your new role
Starting in October 2017 you will work as part of a dedicated Science department made up of a group of specialist teachers. You will be responsible for full teaching responsibilities (including planning and preparation) for a KS3 and KS4 Maths timetable. This will be a minimum of a two term assignment with possible extension to the end of the school year for the right candidate. The role will be full time 5 days a week.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified teacher registered with the Education Workforce Council. You will have previous experience of teaching Science in a secondary school. You will have a passion for learning and have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results. You will also possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check.
