D&T Teachers needed for supply work - Resistant Materials, Textiles, Food, Graphics, Product Design


Hays Education work closely with numerous Secondary Schools across Leicester and Leicestershire. We have supported these schools with day to day, short and long term jobs which have been both part time and full time positions. We are currently looking to recruit reliable and knowledgeable Teachers who are looking to work on a supply basis as we anticipate a busy Summer Term and run up to September Starts.

At the moment, we are welcoming any subject specialists:

Mathematics, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, PE, Physical Education, English, Humanities, History, Geography, RE, Religious Education, Music, French, Spanish, MFL, DT, Design Technology, Textiles, Resistant Materials, Food, Art, Media, Health and Social Care, Business, ICT, Computer Science,

We welcome both newly qualified Teachers (NQT) through to very experienced QTS qualified Teachers. Day to day and short term supply is a flexible choice of working, allowing you to experience many schools in your local area, make a good impression, learn about different teaching methods and cultures and broaden your general knowledge across the education sector. Many daily and short term placements also lead to longer term and permanent jobs, if this is what you are wanting.

Hays are looking for dedicated candidates to work within the schools that I work with on a day to day and long term basis. Your role will be encouraging, teaching and supervising the students on the work that will be set in place and left in accordance with the school supervision procedures. You will also assist in preparing the learning environment, covering for whole classes and working in accordance with school policy.

What you'll need to succeed
- PGCE with NQT/QTS qualified Teacher status
- Experience in Secondary Schools within the last 5 years is essential
- Enthusiastic teaching style, with a willingness to promote learning
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Flexible and reliable
