The Hotel …

Carden Park Hotel is the very definition of luxury and comfort for both business and leisure guests visiting the Cheshire area.

Guests can enjoy our sumptuous guest bedrooms and suites, many of which overlook the wonderful scenery that Carden Park as to offer with views over two golf courses, the Cheshire landscape and surrounding Welsh hills beyond.

Golf is available on a choice of The Nicklaus or Cheshire Courses and the Carden Park Leisure and Spa offer’s a selection of over 40 spa treatments and spa days to melt any stresses melt away.

We have two award winning restaurants, Redmond’s Restaurant where guests can experience a delicious menu with dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. The Vines takes its inspiration from our onsite vineyard for a more relaxed dining experience. For a quick snack the Carden Library or Morgan’s Lounge Bar is the perfect venue for the ultimate afternoon tea or specialty coffee with the day’s newspaper.

The Future …

We are currently refurbishing all 196 of our guest bedrooms and suites to the highest standards to ensure our guests every need is met and catered for. In January 2015 the refurbishment programme continued to Morgan’s Lounge and Bar, front of house areas, the Hotel Reception and updating the Spa and Leisure. We are continuing to improve our guest offering during 2015

The Role …

This role will report directly to the Marketing Manager.

As Digital and Communications Marketing Assistant you will assist the Marketing Manager in the daily marketing activities. You will contribute to and help execute all areas of marketing for acquisition and retention campaigns using the Carden Park Hotel brand values and vision as the key drivers.

Digital responsibilities to include:

·Management of online communications database through create-send system, updating on a daily basis and segmenting into target market areas.

·Enewsletter creation and scheduling for all market areas including spa, golf, leisure, membership, corporate, special occasions and weddings. Idea generation for content to support the brand and marketing strategy with creation of copy to reflect the Carden Park tone of voice.

·Co-ordination of digital communication strategy. To become the ‘eyes and ears’ of marketing, working closely with all hotel areas and PR agency on a daily basis and use of weekly function sheets for story generation to create blogs using the website CMS system and social media activity.

·Daily assistance of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube and Vimeo. Creation of social media posts including taking photos and videos when required. To grow the engagement and interaction on these platforms with content to reflect all areas of the business.

·Maintenance and updating of all third party websites ensuring content is up to date for all areas including current imagery.

·Research of local and national events to contribute to campaign theming and co-ordination of ‘what’s on’ calendar within website CMS.

·Updating of website content when required using CMS system and selection of appropriate photography to reflect key messages.

Overall responsibilities to include:

·Management of stock levels for marketing collateral and literature. Ensuring all promotional literature displayed within hotel is up to date and replenished

·Assistance with general marketing enquiries, providing information and content when required to external partners

·To help external agencies with enquiries including PR agency, design agency and website agency

·Assistance with photography, from formal area photo-shoots to informal photograph taking of news items around estate

·Liasion with key hotel contacts and partners to build relationships within the industry and local area. Attendance of external events and meetings when required

·General research tasks including industry news and competitor activity to guide marketing decisions, activity and to identify any opportunities

·To assist with PR duties as and when required including journalist visits and meeting and greeting special guests

·Support with the organisation of hotel events such as wedding fayres and external exhibitions

·To be the brand champion within the hotel and helping #teamcarden to deliver the brand values and vision successfully for maximum customer care

The ideal candidate will:

·Have previous experience in a similar marketing role

·Have a marketing certificate / diploma qualification

·Excellent level of written English is essential with an A Level of equivalent qualification

·Be experienced with CMS, CRM and newsletter systems is desirable

·Be knowledgeable in all social media platforms and how they work for different audiences

·Creative and engaging copywriting skills are essential

·Have strong communication skills and attention to detail

·Enjoy multi-tasking and working to deadlines with the ability to prioritise

·Be a team player and able to work with own initiative

·Be confident in approaching a range of customers
