Good afternoon, I am recruiting for a 3rd line Infrastructure Engineer - Salary Circa 35k including bonuses. Experience: Minimum of 4 years We are looking for an experienced 3rd Line IT Infrastructure Engineer who is required for our rapidly growing business based in south Manchester. You will be responsible for providing a high level of service, to support and maintain the existing infrastructure as well as identifying and implementing new ideas. Looking for an experienced professional who is customer focused, with a proven track record of service delivery as well as being an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with the ability of working within a demanding environment and can demonstrate a logical approach to problem solving. The Role: - Support staff by defining and establishing schedules, setting priorities, providing support/direction and dealing with all technical issues as needed while providing coverage during operating hours - Proactive planning, support and organising to be flexible and adaptable in meeting the changing needs of the organization - Provide end-user technical support including, but not limited to, configuring hardware, performing hardware/software installations, troubleshooting and correcting hardware and software problems, resolution of day-to-day system problems in data and voice networks - Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives under direction of IT Infrastructure Manager - Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager to promote excellent customer service, effective response times and provide expert insight into general support issues - Help to maintains IT hardware and software licensing for local and remote employees, including inventory recording - Introduce, implement and adhere to IT policies and procedures Key Skills: You should have an excellent mix of technical skills which should include: Essential Requirements Highly Desirable Skills: - Troubleshooting / Administering - Windows Server 2012 Active Directory - Hyper-V High Availability Failover Cluster - Exchange 2016 / Office 365 Hybrid - Cisco Switching - Cisco Telephony - Support Technologies across MPLS Infrastructure - Working in a customer-facing role - Ability to work well as part of a team - Good interpersonal and communication skills - ITIL v3 Desirable skills: - Disaster Recovery - SharePoint Online - Azure - InTune - Documentation Basic Knowledge of: - Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Advantageous Skills: - Relevant Microsoft/Cisco certifications such as MCITP, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA - Strong written ability (to include technical writing) - Able to conduct research into areas as required - Highly self-motivated - Great communication skills - Able to logically understand, diagnose and resolve problems - Ability to escalate issues appropriately, keeping manager informed throughout resolution process, especially in high profile cases.
