An outstanding opportunity for a senior Technology leader to join our leading global client as part of their expanding Technology Leadership team based in Copenhagen. This new position offers both a new career challenge AND the chance to experience a completely different culture, living in the vibrant city of Copenhagen, Denmark. This role is a senior management role responsible for designing and implementing a technology strategy for our client's "Future IT" organisation. The new strategy will provide a best in class capability for reporting, statistical analysis and advanced analytical technologies. The successful candidate will ensure that reporting and analytics communities across all business lines are supplied with robust, consistent and scalable tooling. The reporting platforms are often the public face of technology therefore a customer centric mind set and approach is vital in this role. Please note that although this role is within Technology we are not looking for a pure Technologist, rather someone who has a commercial angle to their Technology leadership skills to drive the efficiencies and cost savings for this area. A high level understanding of Data/ Analytics is essential but this could sit within a Risk or financial crime background rather than pure IT. Key Responsibilities - Build a function and team responsible for providing technology services including reporting, traditional statistics and advanced analytics business wide - Build a set of strategic reporting capabilities and an economic model that encourages convergence over a highly complex and diverse legacy infrastructure - Define technology roadmap to enable the business to execute on its analytics ambition - Define and implement an overall roadmap, coordinating with Head of Data and Automation - Manage demand and portfolio with a unified view over a single Backlog, making sure prioritization is respected and impediments are promptly addressed - Be responsible for ensuring a cross-functional view on Architecture constantly tuning and adapting it to demand, whilst maintaining a long-term view - Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress Skills - A solid grounding in Data, Analytics, Enterprise Reporting Enterprise and Architecture - Innovation; Fintech, IT hot topics e.g. (Digital, Robotics, Advanced Analytics, Cloud etc.) - Experience in Financial Services or consultancy into FS - Empathetic with strong influencing skills and an excellent negotiator and mediator - Multi-national / multi-cultural experienced - Extensive senior stakeholder management skills - Strong commercial experience; skills in delivering cost effective solutions for business - Experience of leading distributed global teams and managing outsourced, consultancy and contract resource - Solid grounding in Financial Services/ Big 4 consultancy or similarly complex business environment - Familiarity with lean development principles - Fluent written and verbal English skills The role offers a fantastic package, compromising a competitive basic plus bonus and wider banking industry package as well as qualifying for the hugely attractive ex pat tax (offering hugely lower tax rates to professionals relocating to Copenhagen).
