Avon and Somerset Constabulary Business Intelligence Developer REF: 17/268 HQ, Portishead 37 hours per week Salary: £31,053-£33,597 Temporary, maternity cover up to 12 months An exciting opportunity has arisen in Avon and Somerset Constabulary to work as a Business Intelligence Developer. We are looking for charismatic and enthusiastic individual who will play a key role in developing, maintaining and evolving the organisations business intelligence. The post holder will also be involved in the development of information solutions and data reporting processes. The Constabulary has been recognised as national leaders in exploiting data through advanced analytics techniques, Geographic information systems (GIS) and interactive dashboards. This role will expose the successful candidate to significant development opportunities working within a small team of technical experts and working with industry leading software packages. To apply for this role, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent, desirable in information Technology/Computing/Informatics or related field. You will have significant experience with Business Intelligence application administration, experience in semantic layer design and will be able to write reports. The successful candidate will have strong database query language skills and experience of working with senior managers and database developers, also internal customers and external partners. Working pattern - Flexible working, full time, part time and job share applications will be considered.
