Based in Kings Hill, Kent, my client is the leading provider of service delivery conferences, seminars and workshops for managers, nurses and clinicians working in the NHS and due to continued growth are currently seeking a Junior Events & Marketing Assistant to join their busy and friendly team. This role will involve shadowing and assisting the different functions in order to develop your skills to: - Speak to current and potential contacts on the phone to build knowledge and promote events - Carry out comprehensive on-line research into different markets and contacts - Write promotionally-led programme and sales copy that are in the language of the market - Acquire the right speakers as identified during the research phase - Always work within the timelines and deadlines specified - Contribute to the database building by calling, cleaning and researching contact names - Use software to design marketing emails as part of the marketing campaign - Make selections from the database for emailing and mailing - Work closely with the team and develop excellent relationships across production, marketing and operations - Attend relevant conferences to meet attendees and further understand events - Use systems to input bookings and manage enquiries - Copy writing - writing promotional emails, conference brochures and suitable web copy No previous experience is required you must have some work experience, enjoy writing, have an eye for detail, be happy to pick up the phone and be willing to work those extra hours to ensure deadlines are met. You will gain an insight into the different demands of conference production and develop your skills in this exciting industry. Ideally this would suit a Graduate with an articulate, dynamic and a goal orientated approach.
