Our client is a leading utilities business that operate throughout the UK. Job Specification/Core Responsibilities:

Reporting directly into the Finance Director you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Manage the AP and AR team on a day to day basis
  • Prepare the annual and monthly statutory reports
  • Liaise with external providers including auditors and tax advisors on an ad hoc basis
  • Prepare the monthly accounts with associated commentary and analysis
  • Work with the management team to streamline processes and improve systems
  • Provide continued training and support to the team to increase their productivity and effectiveness
  • Managing the banking facilities for the business
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required by the management team


Key Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
  • Experience in a high volume, fast paced, transactional environment
  • Must be able to lead and manage a transactional team – with a proven track record
  • Experience with SAGE packages or similar
  • Ideally you will have experience within the utilities industry or you will have experience within a high volume transactional industry such as retail
  • A number of years post qualified experience will be highly sought after
  • Attention to detail and time keeping skills are also key requirements for this role
