Medical Device Consultant Based in the Scottish central belt, Lorit Consultancy is a forward thinking and highly successful business specialising in Functional Safety, Regulatory Compliance and Training, predominantly within the Medical, Automotive and Aviation sectors. Entering an exciting period of growth and with an expanding international client base, we are now looking to recruit an experienced Medical Device Consultant. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role offers a unique career opportunity for a highly motivated and professional individual to help grow the business and to take ownership for running projects across a diverse client base. You will have extensive experience of medical device compliance to international standards and guidelines. Responsibilities in this key role will include: - Reviewing products, projects and processes to medical device standards such as IEC 60601-1, ISO 14971 or IEC 62304 - Reviewing quality management procedures and processes in accordance with ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 - Conducting risk analysis/assessments - Liaison with the customer at all stages of the development - Generation of all necessary project work products - Holding medical device compliance training courses based on different international standards With previous industry relevant experience at this level, you will have a sound knowledge of software development techniques and risk assessment techniques (eg FMEA) along with excellent technical report writing skills. Likely to come from either a Quality Assurance or Software Development background, you will have proven ability to direct your own workload and to effectively communicate across diverse client teams. Willingness to undertake UK and overseas travel is essential for this role. The salary for this key post will be around £50,000 - £60,000 and there will be relocation and pension offered as well the opportunity for flexible working.
