RESPONSIBILITIES - Design, develop and test new Linux application software. - Support and enhance existing application software. - Apply established development processes and assist in process improvement. - Analyse requirements and develop design alternatives. - Develop test software and procedures. - Generate complete and accurate user and design documentation. - Present and attend architecture, design and code reviews. - Provide input and evaluation of new technologies and products. - Keep current with embedded software trends and share knowledge. - Provide task breakdowns and accurate estimates for project planning - Review and validation of software releases. - Assist in maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere within the team. Qualifications & Experience - Software Engineering Degree or equivalent discipline. - A minimum of 2 years' experience in software application development, preferably in Linux. - Proven experience in internet security and cryptographic techniques & algorithms. - Thorough understanding of software design and coding, preferably including UML. - Experienced in design and coding using C and/or C++ or similar. - Experienced in Windows, RTOS, databases, inter-process/processor communications and strength in mathematics would also be advantageous. Core Competencies - A self-starter but equally capable of working within a team, including external parties. - Self-motivated and enthusiastic. - Have good attention to detail and be an excellent communicator with a desire to deliver and contribute fully to successful projects Immediate interviews offered for the right candidates along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
