We undertake a wide range of projects including studies Fluor UK ltd is currently recruiting an experienced Principal Electrical Design Engineer with EPC experience. We are ideally seeking candidates with experience in the Energy and Chemicals sector (particularly Onshore Oil and Gas) with recent experience of modularisation design methodologies and designing for efficient fabrication and construction. We are also keen to speak to any engineers who have previously worked on significant projects in the Life Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing, Power Generation (Renewable and Conventional) or Metal and Mining industries. As the Principal Electrical Design Engineer you will execute engineering processes, provide technical knowledge, and be capable of performing the work listed below. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. This position requires acting as a Lead Engineer on assigned projects or to operate at a Subject Matter Expert level, applying engineering techniques to a set of complex assignments. * Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, including manpower forecasts * Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts * Develop and review specifications, including design criteria * Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting * Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems of difficult engineering complexity * Serve as Supervising Lead providing guidance/supervision to other leads and function as mentor to less experienced engineers or engineering specialists including performance appraisal input and counseling * Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines Job requirements: *BEng (Hons)/MEng degree or global equivalent in Electrical Engineer or closely related engineering subject.*Chartered Engineer (or equivalent), or able to work towards. * Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials *Practical field experience desirable* Significant proven work experience within the industry. * Ability to build relationships effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, sub-contractors, and visitors * Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job * Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner As well as offering Challenging job opportunities, a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, Fluor actively encourages career and personal development for its staff through a structured career development programme, in-house training, specialist development courses and mentoring.P
