JOB TITLE: Claims Handler; Construction (Wirral, Merseyside) SALARY: £18-£21k basic salary DOE + benefits package Are you an analytical Claims Handler who wants to work in a professional organisation that have a passion for development and promote from within? We are looking for a self-motivated Claims Handler to join an established team, in the head office of a nationwide insurance firm who have continued to show growth of their business. As a company they believe in self-development and as a result of a expansion within the firm they are looking for a Claims Handler to join their established team within their busy head office located on The Wirral, Merseyside. Located close to major transport links and a 5 minute walk from Hamilton Square station in a modern office suite. WHAT IS THE JOB DOING? As Claims Handler you will provide a professional customer focused claims service to ensure new and existing claims are processed whilst abiding company policy and FSA/FCA regulations. The main duties of the role include: *Assisting in developing an efficient process to deal with all new claim applications *Operating all new claims processes and ensuring applications are dealt with efficiently and relevant referrals are made as appropriate *Using the claims database to log, track and proactively meet claim workflow KPI's *Identifying and informing the Claims Manager or Head of Claims on contentious issues at the earliest opportunity *Liaising with the insurer and other external bodies as required to update on current claims and chasing documentation as required *Ensuring the client files in relation to Claims are reviewed with company compliance plan *To understand and comply with Quality Management systems and FCA rules As a core member of the team, you will be expected to work autonomously.
