These people are writing specialists - they help brands and business use words more persuasively. In short, they help their clients use words to get results. As well as their own clients in b2b, universities, public sector and travel, they work with advertising, digital and design agencies on ads, websites, emails and more. They're busy! They've got workshops to organise and a team of writers to keep occupied. So they need someone who can help them keep on top of projects and support their new business drive. As you learn more about the writing business, you'll be encouraged to start working on developing new business yourself. In a nutshell, your job is to make sure everything in and out of the office runs smoothly. Making sure they hit deadlines, sales targets and appointments is going to be up to you. What will you do? - Make sure everything runs smoothly - Workshop organisation and preparation - Manage writing projects - Diary management for their Creative Director - Travel and accommodation arrangements - Organising team activities and days out - Manage Eventbrite - their workshop ticketing software - Send direct mail to target different sectors - Help them build the business and look after clients - Gather insights for a range of sectors - Manage their CRM systems - Use Mailchimp, their email marketing programme - Build lists - Network at events to tell people what they do What sort of person are they searching for? Chances are you're a recent graduate looking for a challenging role in sales and project management. You'll need to be willing to learn and unafraid to share your ideas with the team. You'll be confident and outgoing, able to communicate clearly. And of course, extremely organised. They're a small team and so you need to be a self-starter, able to make decisions by yourself. And get along with people - there's no place to hide! What sort of skills do they want to see? You need to be able to write well - they're not expecting you to be a copywriter but you need an eye for wrods (and typos). They use cloud-based software such as Highrise, Mailchimp and Eventbrite to market themselves and arrange their training, so being confident with computers would be an advantage. What's in it for you? They'll train you to use the CRM system to keep on top of their clients, conversations and copywriting. Their Business Developer will act as your mentor, showing you how to effectively gather insights to engage current and potential clients. Then you'll learn the art of turning those conversations into cash. They know that copywriting is a unique thing to sell. That's why when you join them you'll attend one of their open workshops to learn the tricks of the trade and find out what their world is all about. Once you've got the hang of the job, they'll invest in more training to help build your skills.
